William Booth is a distinguished South African lawyer with a wealth of experience in criminal law. A graduate of the University of Cape Town with two degrees, he has served as both a Magistrate and Prosecutor in Regional Courts before establishing his own law firm. Booth has defended high-profile cases, including landmark Constitutional Court matters, and has represented victims of crime. Beyond his legal practice, he is a respected lecturer in Criminal Law and a sought-after speaker at international conferences. He chairs key committees of the Law Society of South Africa and has been instrumental in the establishment of Legal Aid in the country. His dedication to criminal justice reform, pro bono work, and recognition among South Africa’s top criminal defence lawyers highlight his deep commitment to the legal profession.
